25+ Years of Excellence
The Dream Begins
After travelling to California and across Asia studying street food culture, the decision was made to create Australia's best gourmet hot dog brand from scratch — no shortcuts, no compromises.
First Store in the Illawarra
HDD opened its first bricks-and-mortar store in the Illawarra, instantly building a devoted local following with wood-smoked franks and bold flavour combos nobody had seen before.
Going Mobile — The Designer Trailer
With demand exploding beyond the shopfront, HDD designed and built a custom trailer — taking gourmet hot dogs on the road to events, markets, and festivals across greater Sydney.
18 Pedigree Recipes Perfected
The legendary menu of eighteen pedigree pooches was locked in — each named after a beloved dog breed with its own signature flavour. Paired with four frankfurter styles, that's seventy-two ways to enjoy an Aussie gourmet hot dog.
Corporate Sydney Comes Calling
Cisco, Commonwealth Bank, Deloitte, and a growing list of blue-chip clients started booking HDD for staff appreciation days, product launches, and corporate celebrations. The carts became a talking point at every event.
The Modular Cart Revolution
HDD designed and built the world's only modular food cart system — all-stainless-steel, custom-engineered to roll into high-rise lobbies, rooftops, backyards, and festival grounds. Set up in 45 minutes, serve 300 guests in 2 hours, clean up and gone.
Next Generation Takes the Helm
